The Trevor Project is a nonprofit that supports LGBTQ+ youth. The team approached me to create an illustration for the launch of their new initiative, Trevor Space — a safe space for teens in their community to come together.

This was a challenging project for me in terms of depicting the subject matter. I wanted to showcase a lot of different characters — teenagers to young adults — interacting with each other in a safe, inclusive way, and was able to work with the team to figure out the right balance to strike here. There's also a reference in here to Trevor, a character from the award-winning documentary from which The Trevor Project organization adapted its name.
