The wonderful folks on the Dribbble community team opened up the Dribbble Equipment Shop, a collection of merch celebrating their community. They invited me to design a custom skateboard deck as part of the launch.

I briefly had a longboarding phase in college, and one of my frustrations was finding a board that was colorful and artistically interesting, without being grotesque or super masculine. So I wanted to create a board with whimsy, of this surreal scene of koi fish flowing through the water. When the skateboader does a flip or trick, I wanted the skateboard to show an additional flash of movement, of these koi swimming in motion.
